Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one session and without the need to switch devices. They can also reduce space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins and refill their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads from an appropriate dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you up and running with a clean, complete dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For example, you can opt for the robot to take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen areas but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb, with the robot being capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only drawback is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed. However, just a glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that shows when maintenance is needed for cleaning up debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time, with the mop capable of operating for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in standard mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you view every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot mop and vacuum, is the most up-to-date version. The model this year has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power which allows it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners might miss.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its direction and clean the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it has only three physical buttons: the power button, that also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.
The only drawback I could find with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to remove the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot passes will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and set up these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor battery life and component maintenance. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. best automatic vacuum and mop is an industry leader with innovative features, superior suction power, and advanced mowing capabilities. Its intelligent design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while also saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry mess. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet in operation and only occasionally bursting during mode changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also has a side brush that can be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture that is curved like table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to get under low-profile furniture which makes it a great choice for small apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Unlike some other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming at the same time or separately. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas or reverse the process. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is user-friendly and easy to use, and the X40's smart features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, look at floor plans and mapping, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers many convenient features, making it an ideal choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect if the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. However, it has several characteristics that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and pick up spills and soiled spots.
The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature we've yet to see on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a useful method to keep your home cleaner for longer.
There's an impressive amount of options available that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. They can be set through the app or there are buttons that can be found on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and has many options to customize your cleaning routine. It also has a number of features that aren't available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on market, with metallic and white colors that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list, but it's still not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
